Welcome to BookOurCab. By accessing our website at https://www.bookourcab.com or by booking any cab service with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("the Passenger" or "User") and BookOurCab ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operating from Mohali, Punjab, India.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By completing a booking with BookOurCab — whether through our website, phone, WhatsApp, or any other channel — you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions
• You have the legal authority to enter into this agreement
• You agree to be bound by all provisions of these terms

2. About Our Services

BookOurCab provides the following taxi and transportation services in Mohali, Chandigarh, Punjab, and outstation destinations:

• One-way and round-trip cab bookings
• Airport and railway station transfers (Chandigarh, Delhi, Amritsar)
• Outstation taxi services across North India
• Local cab hire in Mohali and Chandigarh
• Wedding car hire and special occasion vehicles
• Tempo Traveller for group tours and events
• Corporate travel arrangements
• Hill station tours (Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, etc.)

All services are subject to vehicle availability, and routes are subject to road conditions and applicable local regulations.

3. Booking & Reservations

3.1 Making a Booking

A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive a written confirmation from BookOurCab via SMS, WhatsApp, or email with a booking reference number. Verbal or informal confirmations do not constitute a valid booking.

3.2 Booking Information Accuracy

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information at the time of booking, including:

• Correct pick-up address and drop-off destination
• Accurate travel date, time, and number of passengers
• Valid contact phone number
• Any special requirements (child seat, wheelchair accessibility, extra luggage)

BookOurCab shall not be liable for any inconvenience or loss resulting from inaccurate information provided at the time of booking.

3.3 Advance Booking Recommended

For airport transfers and outstation trips, we strongly recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee vehicle availability. Last-minute bookings are accepted subject to availability.

3.4 Booking Modification

Changes to confirmed bookings (date, time, pick-up location, vehicle type) must be communicated to us at least 4 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, subject to availability. Changes less than 4 hours before may incur additional charges.

4. Fares & Payment

4.1 Fare Structure

Our fares are calculated based on distance (per kilometer), trip type (one-way / round trip), vehicle type, and applicable toll charges. The fare displayed at the time of booking is an estimate. Final fare may vary based on actual distance traveled, waiting time, and tolls.

4.2 Additional Charges

The following may be charged additionally and are not always included in the base fare:

• Toll & Parking: All toll charges and parking fees are payable by the passenger
• Night Surcharge: Rides starting between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM may attract a night surcharge
• Waiting Charges: After 15 minutes of free waiting time, waiting charges apply
• Extra Kilometers: Charges apply for additional distance beyond the agreed route
• State Tax / Entry Tax: Applicable interstate taxes if the journey crosses state borders

4.3 Payment Methods

We accept payment via:

• Cash (to the driver at the end of the trip)
• UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
• Bank Transfer (for corporate bookings)

5. Cancellation & Refund

Please refer to our detailed Refund & Cancellation Policy page. In summary:

• More than 24 hours before pick-up: Full refund
• 6–24 hours before pick-up: 50% refund
• 1–6 hours before pick-up: 25% refund
• Less than 1 hour or no-show: No refund

BookOurCab reserves the right to cancel any booking due to vehicle unavailability, driver emergencies, or force majeure events, in which case a full refund will be issued.

6. Passenger Responsibilities

As a passenger, you agree to:

• Be ready at the agreed pick-up location at the scheduled time
• Treat the driver and vehicle with respect; any abusive behavior is grounds for immediate termination of the ride without refund
• Not consume alcohol, smoke, or use tobacco products inside the vehicle
• Wear a seatbelt at all times during the journey
• Not carry illegal items, hazardous materials, or controlled substances
• Not exceed the maximum passenger capacity of the booked vehicle
• Be responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle due to your negligence
• Collect all personal belongings before exiting the vehicle; BookOurCab is not liable for items left behind

7. Driver & Vehicle Standards

BookOurCab commits to maintaining high service standards:

• All drivers hold valid commercial driving licenses issued by the Government of India
• All vehicles are registered, insured, and roadworthy as per Motor Vehicles Act requirements
• Vehicles are regularly serviced and sanitized
• All rides are GPS-tracked for safety
• Drivers are background-verified and trained in customer service

We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent or higher category if the originally booked vehicle is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law:

• BookOurCab is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, bandhs, or other factors beyond our control
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fare paid for the specific trip in question
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including missed flights, missed meetings, or business losses
• Passengers travel at their own risk on mountain, hill, or remote routes; we take all reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee accident-free travel

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our proven negligence as required by Indian law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, the BookOurCab name, and service descriptions — is the intellectual property of BookOurCab and protected under Indian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mohali, Punjab, India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any dispute amicably. We aim to respond to all complaints within 7 business days.

11. Modifications to Terms

BookOurCab reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.
